Catchy title I know, a FPS and a MMO in one article. Now if only these two game were actually connected, sadly only bad games get created with two genres in mind. With all that non-sense out-of-the-way let’s get back to the subject at hand. Firstly, Guild War 2 had a beta signup that was to last 48 hours (needless to say I signed up) and it is now over. ArenaNET happily announced they had over 1Million signup showing just how eager people are for a brand new MMO to dominate the rest. Now, I want to clarify, I don’t think GW2 will be a WoW killer, and I’m not a WoW fanboy, but I’ve seen the effects WoW has on new MMO’s and since their playerbase is so stacked, MMO’s can’t last because they all run back to their leveled and grown account on WoW. This has happened to me on Rift and SWTOR, both actually great games, but its new and who want to play a new MMO. Regardless, this is about Guild Wars 2, lets hope everyone who signed up will get what they truly want out of Guild Wars2, I sure as hell hope I do.
Nextly we have Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The update they recently had wasn’t to intensive but they made a blog post about it so I figured I should write a tiny bit about it. Well, they changed their beta map to Train finally. You can now play train in the beta. That is all.
P.S. Why do people say “Needless to say” then say what apparently does not need to be said? I was kicking myself as I forced myself to write it.
P.S.S. Written jokes aren’t as funny as vocal jokes.
